About IQAC

St. Joseph's College of Commerce was first declared as the Five Star Level 2 (among the Affiliated/Constituent Colleges) on February 7, 2000. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) proposes that every accredited Institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. As per NAAC guidelines, IQAC’s major work is to develop structures and systems for conscious, constant and catalytic improvements in the overall performance of the college. Under this auspices of the St. Josephs College of Commerce, the IQAC was established.

Since its establishment, the IQAC has become a part of the College’s system and works toward quality enhancement, sustenance, and initiates measures for improvement of quality in all areas of the College’s educational endeavors. On February 10, 2007, St. Josephs College of Commerce was accredited with A Level and recognized as “College with Potential for Excellence” by UGC in the second cycle of accreditation.

During the third cycle of NAAC accreditation in 2012, the college obtained A Grade Level on January 5th, 2013 with a CGPA of 3.37 on a four point scale. On 16 th , October 2017, NAAC, in respect of high performing Institutions, extended the validity of the accreditation of the college up to January, 4 th 2020.

The IQAC assures all the stakeholders i.e., students, parents, teachers, staff, management, funding agencies and society in general- of accountability in quality management of the College and the education the college is imparting.
